The home cafe is a chill Instagram video genre in which disembodied hands create visually enticing beverages. The beverages are composed of items that sound lovely, like frozen orbs plinking into a glass, bubbly water fizzing into colorful syrup, or a glass straw swirling a mixture of ice and citrus similar to ASMR and foamy videos.
If you search with #homecafe, you'll get hundreds of thousands of videos. But the secret is to search in Korean with #홈카페, which translates to the same thing containing over a million postings, primarily created by Korean Instagrammers.
There are a lot of analogs in home cafe videos. Instagram's favorite over-the-top milkshakes are reminiscent of the home cafe's blinged-out beverages.
